Where can I find gender pay gap data for 2021?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This post was updated on 1st May 2022 with the latest data<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The government requires all organisations employing 250 or more employees to submit gender pay gap data.\u00a0 All data is available to the public and can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/gender-pay-gap.service.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">government&#8217;s gender pay gap website<\/a>.\u00a0 I have downloaded this data and created a spreadsheet tool to present the data in a more user-friendly and visual format.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Download my spreadsheet!<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/marriott-stats.com\/nigels-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Gender-Pay-Gap-Data-Chart-Tool-2022-v4.0.xlsx\">Gender Pay Gap Data &amp; Chart Tool &#8211; 2022 v4.0<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>You are very welcome make use of the charts and tables within this spreadsheet but I would appreciate it if you could credit me with the creation of the charts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT!<\/strong> &#8211; The workbook is currently optimised for Excel in Windows.\u00a0 It does work in Excel for a Mac but I am aware of some features not working as intended on a Mac.\u00a0 I am in the process of trying to correct the Mac issues.<\/p>\n<p>I will make a point of keeping this spreadsheet up to date as employers upload new data so please bookmark this page and come back to see if the version number has changed.\u00a0 Alternatively why not subscribe to my newsletter to be notified of updates (details are at the bottom of the page).\u00a0 I will also let you know via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarriottNigel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my twitter feed<\/a> if changes have been made.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>What data is included?<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>This spreadsheet includes data submitted by 12,000+ employers for the April snapshot pay period for the years of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 &amp; 2021.\u00a0 So far, 10,250+ employers have submitted 2021 data.<\/p>\n<p>From the end of April 2022, employers can submit their 2022 data and not wait for the deadline of April 2023.<\/p>\n<p><em>Update 8\/4\/22 &#8211; There appears to be some employers who have reported pay gaps but not the pay quarter data.\u00a0 Curiously this only affects 2020 &amp; 2021.\u00a0 I have been told this is the result of the GEO changing their portal and inadvertently allowing some employers to do this.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Update 5\/4\/22 &#8211; Even more cleaning of names have been done by the GEO and me so you may need to check for your employer under a different name.\u00a0 So far, 9900 employers have reported 2021 data so it looks like 500 to 600 are late reporting.\u00a0 Therefore the 2021 data included may yet change again.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Update 10\/2\/22 &#8211; The Government Equalities Office continues to do a lot work to resolve inconsistencies in employer names.\u00a0 I had already done most of this work in the past but it is possible that an employer you used to look for in earlier versions of the downloadable spreadsheet is now appearing under a different name.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Update 20\/2\/21 &#8211; The Equalities &amp; Human Rights Commission the deadline for submitting 2020 data to 5th October 2021.\u00a0 Employers are required to submit 2020.\u00a0 The deadline for submitting 2021 data is still 5th April 2022.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Update 24\/3\/20 &#8211;\u00a0 On 24th March, the government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/employers-do-not-have-to-report-gender-pay-gaps?_ga=2.92637853.1848114857.1585055507-1841728434.1526368877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suspended enforcement of the deadline for reporting 2019 gender pay gaps<\/a> due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/marriott-stats.com\/nigels-blog\/?s=coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus outbreak<\/a>.\u00a0 Just over 60% of employers reported their 2019 data and the remainder are no longer required to do so.<\/em><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Overview of Spreadsheet<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The <strong>EMPLOYERSUMMARY<\/strong> sheet summarises an employer&#8217;s gender pay gap data as shown in the graphic below for the latest year&#8217;s data submitted.\u00a0 You can\u00a0 select the employer you want to view from the dropdown box (please note there can be over 12,000 employers!).\u00a0\u00a0There are also some calculations of year on year trends and these provide clues as to whether the employer has entered its data correctly and you can find out more about this in my article &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/marriott-stats.com\/nigels-blog\/gpg-yoy-trends-unilever-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Year on Year Trends, the Good, Bad &amp;
