My latest UK weather tracker shows that August was just like July in being an unremarkable month.\u00a0 This means the meteorological summer of 2017 has also been unremarkable <\/a>just as I have been predicting for the last few years.<\/p>\n

Last month I explained why July being unremarkable was in fact remarkable<\/a>.\u00a0 I showed that the probability of all 6 indicators not being in either the upper or lower decile was roughly 1 in 4.\u00a0 August turned out to be an even more unremarkable month with no notable features.\u00a0 In fact August was about as average as it could be so a foreigner that spent August in the UK will have had a perfect illustration of a British summer!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
