My latest UK weather tracker shows that September was a very showery month with 60% of days experiencing rainfall but with a low intensity.\u00a0 For most Brits, the early autumn (meteorologically defined as September to November) was not an excuse to break out the rain coats!<\/p>\n

The most notable statistic in September was the number of rainy days which at 60% was the 2nd highest on record beaten only by 1974.\u00a0 Overall rainfall though was entirely normal which meant the rain intensity was below normal.\u00a0 Clearly this indicates a showery month rather than a wet month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
