I apologise for the lateness of this post. The general election took up a lot of my time and energy but from now on I have no excuse not to keep this up to date.
My latest UK weather tracker shows that it was the 2nd warmest May since 1910.
As always, the meteorological year starts in December which is why May appears as the 6th data point in the charts below. More information on the layout of the charts can be found in this post.
Rainfall in May was unremarkable whilst the number of hours of sunshine was close to the top decile.
Meteorologically, May marks the end of Spring and I have created a new post to look at the long term trends in our spring weather.
