June 2026 was the 2nd warmest June on record across the UK. Unlike last month when I said I took the statement of it being the 3rd warmest May on record on trust, this time I can well believe it having spent the heatwave at the end of June on a canal boat on the Welsh border. The collections of fans on board certainly worked overtime!
UK Weather Tracker #112 – May 2026
May 2026 was the 3rd warmest on record across the UK. I have to take this on trust as I spent most of the second half of May abroad and missed the warmest spring on record in the South West! However, like last month, my abnormality index was not impressed and rated the month as entirely normal.
UK Weather Tracker #111 – April 2026
April 2026 was the 4th sunniest and 7th warmest on record as well as 11th widest temperature range. However, my abnormality index was not impressed and rated the month as entirely normal.
UK Weather Tracker #110 – March 2026
The UK weather in March was the 10th warmest on record but otherwise unremarkable.
UK Weather Tracker #109 – February 2026
The UK weather in February was warm, wet and dark for this time of year. We also had the 2nd lowest range of temperatures on record with maximum and minimums across the 24 hours varying by only 4.5 degrees on average.
UK Weather Tracker #108 – January 2026
The 2026 calendar year in the UK began with a wetter January than usual but otherwise the weather in this month was unremarkable.
UK Weather Tracker #107 – December 2025
The 2026 meteorological year in the UK began with a warmer and less frosty December than usual but otherwise the weather in this month was unremarkable.
UK Weather Tracker #106 – November 2025
The weather in the UK in November was warmer and wetter than usual but not to an unusual extent.
UK Weather Tracker #105 – October 2025
Like last month, the weather in the UK in October was unremarkable. I must confess I found myself noticing the cold more than usual but perhaps I was subconsciously noticing the lack of sunshine and the narrow range of temperatures as shown in my refreshed dashboard below?
UK Weather Tracker #104 – September 2025
After the hottest summer on record, the weather in the UK in September was unremarkable. However, my local fishing club has just announced that a lake closed due to low water levels has reopened since water levels are back to normal so the above average rainfall in September has been welcomed in many areas.
