April 2019 is the first uninteresting month of the 2019 meteorological year in the UK. Everybody got excited about the warmest Easter on record but the rest of the month couldn’t be bothered and so dragged the monthly averages down.
March 2019 was warm and wet with the 2nd highest rain intensity on record.
February 2019 ended with the warmest days on record in the month. As a result, the month as a whole was the second warmest and second sunniest February on record.
2019 in the UK began with a dry month but normal weather otherwise.
The start of the new meteorological year was warm with normal rainfall.
There is no subtle way to say this, our weather in November was boring!
A sunny October resulted in wide temperature ranges leading to cold nights and the first frosts of the autumn.
I thought August was unremarkable but September was even more boring!
After 3 months of hot, dry and sunny weather, the UK returned to normal in August with a completely unremarkable month.
The UK is on course for its best summer since 2006 following a hot, dry and bright July.
