May 2022 was the 5th warmest May on record in the UK.  Whilst temperatures are rising as the days get longer, we haven’t as yet had more sunshine.

My mother got me excited today when she said she had read it was the driest April since 1842 but she was mistaken unfortunately.  It was drier than usual and given March was also dry, the UK is on track for a dry Spring.  Otherwise April 2022 was completely unremarkable.
